People often ask what exactly is New Vision Therapy, or NVT?” The role of a New Vision Therapist is to accurately identify and release restrictions anywhere in the body that are having a negative impact on the balanced function of the nervous system”Why is that so important?” The nervous system controls and coordinates all structures and organs of the body”Grays anatomy, medical journal.Guess that sums it up nicely

Exactly. I appreciate the treatment received from one of your teammates few months back. Due to my engagement and work load I couldn't fully thank him. Now I realised that it was great. Soon going to finish my ongoing task and will see for collaboration with new vision therapy.

Shoulders! We all get those “problem patients”. We try our best but they just don’t seem to get better long term.Have they got an elevated shoulder on one side? 🤔 If so, they may have accessory nerve dysfunction, and as a consequence vagus nerve imbalance. They will almost definitely be presenting some form of anxiety or stress, along with breathing or gut issues, because the central nervous system is compromised. What can you do to help? Lots!Message me to find out, and when the NVT roadshow is next in your area.Take careChris

Let’s talk about deviated uvulas and their clinical significance. Why? Because it could help some of those “problem” patients that just do not seem to get any better despite your best efforts 1) ask the client/patient to open their mouth and shine a light on the uvula2) ask them to go agh, agh, agh with a distinct make and break3) look what happens to the uvula. Does it deviate to one side, or not move at all?4) if it deviates, or does not move, it will usually indicate that the ventral vagus is compromised. As a consequence, the accessory nerve will also be compromised. What does this mean? In short that person has lost the capacity to self heal.Your client or patient is stuck in some degree of fight or flight. Their vagus nerve or nerves will be compromised, and as a consequence so will digestion and immune building. Endocrine system will also be out of balance. The accessory nerve runs parallel with the vagus so if compromised will often lead to a constant engagement of the SCM and trapezius muscles, elevation of the ribs, pelvis and jamming of lower back/sacrum.So we have a neurological AND a musculoskeletal imbalance.Easy indicators to look for or ask about;* elevated shoulder on one side* emotional imbalances like anxiety or panic attacks* low energy levels* poor sleep and always on edge and alert. Hard to relax * check uvula with anyone who has a diagnosis of ADHD. Children aswell* one eye noticeable larger than the other * adults will often present with hiatus hernias ( PM me so I can explain why! )Irrespective of your profession, this simple test takes around 15/30 seconds to perform but gives you clinical confirmation that the nervous system is compromised. At this point, we may just be “firefighting” symptoms. The root cause is, at least partly, a mechanically compromised central nervous system. If the restriction is mild, it can be alleviated with a simple self help technique that takes just 1 or 2 minutes. You can then recheck the uvula and will normally see anything from 50/100% improvement. This means you are not battling through a body stuck in fight or flight, and your interventions will be more readily accepted by the body.If no change after a week of doing the technique twice daily, the restrictions may be more mechanical in nature and need specialist intervention.I have a simple video I can share with you which explains the self help technique. Message me and I am happy to share with you if it helps you to help others.ThanksTake careChris

What makes NVT a little different from other hands on approaches? 🤔 I like to think we make the complicated things simple! We do not try to fix or heal.We do the simple things so that the Body can then do the complicated. * Ask The Body* Trust What You Feel* Trust The Body* Trust The ProcessExcited that our pilot study with Lancashire University is nearly completed, and we have had some incredible feedback so far from the veterans we have treated. Why we do what we do 😌 🙏 😌
